Crimson Sun
05:29
|
|||
Dawn breaks over the shore
Spreading its light across the ancient land, in a war-torn world
A great fleet sets sail toward
The sea to the east in search of comrades lost, with our sails unfurled
We test the divine, race against time, knowing not what we will find
Sent so far from home, we’re all alone
Steel your resolve and set a course for the unknown
The horizon, we will race it down
Keep on riding, till the sun goes out
Ride upon the shimmering waves
Out to the uncharted corners of the Earth
Sail along as Pangu awakes
Bound by oath, we carry out the will of the Emperor
The wind at our backs as we push fearlessly forth
Chasing the tides as they recede to their resting place
All will bow before the prows of our mighty ships
Cutting a path headed straight for the crimson sun
This world shall know our name!
Go!
The horizon, we will race it down
Keep on riding, till the sun goes out
The horizon, we will chase it down
Keep on riding, till the sun goes
Out
Out
Out

Leviathan
05:09
|
|
||
The monster has awakened
Emerging from the blackest depths with hunger obscene
No inclinations divine could ever beget
This unearthly duality of flesh and machine
Obey
The tyrant wills it so
Abandon all your hope and perish
Our puny arrows rendered useless
Spears shatter off its steel hide
From its mouth issues a vile shriek
Which echoes through our frayed minds
Its acid breath melts through the deck
My men throw themselves off either side
Human detritus in the water
Soon to join their friends beneath the tides
Obey
The fates, they will it so
Abandon all your hope and perish
Steel yourselves or perish
Steel yourselves or perish now!
The cries of my men surround me
The beast comes to reap its grim reward
Exploiting our fruits of folly
Devouring us one by one
Facing the maw of the serpent
Accepting my fate, I’ll join my friends
The cause of their fate apparent now
But too slow were we to comprehend

Goddess in the Machine
16:33
|
|||
I. Songs of Creation
In the great beginning
Sky and Earth were combined, joined as one
From yin and yang came springing
Pangu the god, from the balance
And so, light shone through the cosmos
As he worked, lifting Sky from Earth
Above the highest mountains
The goddess Nüwa soared
With her hands she molded humans out of clay
She smiled upon the fertile land
Where her children ran and played
And all was good beneath the light of day
II. The War of Water and Fire
The other gods looked upon the world
And mobilized their pawns across the board
As Sky and Sea vied for strength and more
Opposing forces soon descend to war
The God of Water rises
From the ocean, fighting to control
His waves come crashing down upon the people
Drowning out the world
From above the God of Fire
Rising higher, raining down his curse
The towering flames of destruction
Smite the land and devastate the Earth
So let them fight, the ocean and the flame
Their raging war puts the world at stake
With every blow, Nüwa’s children pay
As Pangu’s world falls into decay
Break the beams that yet hold up the sky
Triumph in the end, it shall be mine
The sea is where life forms and dies
No one else may rule over the Earth, no one but I
III. Nüwa Mends the Heavens
Heal the Earth
With five stones, revive
Patch the blue sky
She drew her last breath
And fell into a slumber
Gong the Tyrant sends forth his monsters
As she sleeps, to siphon out her healing blood

I found my calling in the deep
A sacred promise I shall keep
From the depths long forgotten
I will take up the shield and sword
I will face the Tyrant’s hordes
End the war he has begotten
The gift of life came from the sea
Breathed into us clay figurines
I must return the favor
Feeling the Goddess shaping me
So I may destroy her enemies
Becoming something greater
The world at the mercy of my sword
I undertake this vow to go forth
I become the slayer of a thousand red-eyed serpents
I am the chosen one to save us all
So as the oceans rage
And as the Tyrant reigns
I undergo the change
I close my eyes and wait
Her magic through my veins
I feel it take hold
Bequeathed the gift to draw breath underwater
My right arm traded for a tasseled sword
The body honed to aquatic precision
A trinity of machine, man, and god, made for war
The ocean floor trembles with my arrival
I point my sword at the ground below
Caretakers rise from blackest of trenches
Armed to the teeth and ready to go
Slay them all, tyrants fall
Mount up on your steeds and charge
Go!
The world at the mercy of my sword
I undertake this vow to go forth
I have found my place between the cosmos and the roaring sea
I am the chosen one and resurrector of the gods
Rising from clay, born of the sea
Imbued with magic, divine energy
Caretakers rise, bend to my call
I am triumphant, for one, for all
This war shall end by my sacred hand
Strike the blow for humankind
Peace throughout the land

Undersea Battle
05:42
|
|||
Crush them and leave no survivors
Slaughter all who dare to defy me
Heroes with foolish ambitions
Swim down and meet your final grave
And so the mortals will know my pain
The Tyrant rises
An ancient wrath unchained
Beasts in the thousands
Come to avenge his name
Eons of torment scar me
And fuel my ascension now
Puny humans
Atone for your hubris
Wipe them from the Earth!
Sword in hand, I face the Tyrant’s hordes
Slayer of my fleet bears down on me
Swim up and confront my mortal foe
Meld our minds, I now control the beast

Pyrrhic Victory
02:35
|
|||
I stand, broken in the fading sun
Is the battle won?
All around me, bodies sink
To their resting place beneath the sea
When war was so hateful
Cosmos so ungrateful
Send my sorrow to the world
Weighed down by emotion
Tears drowned by the ocean
Send my sorrow to the world
And so I venture forth
Following the beasts into the deep
Spurred on by my grief
Ever pushing on to a fate unseen
When war was so hateful
Cosmos so ungrateful
Send my sorrow to the world
Choking back emotion
Rage drowned by the ocean
Cast my anger to the world
Send my sorrow to the world

Nüwa Awakens
07:30
|
|||
People, hear me, for I will avenge you
Restore balance to the world above
Nüwa’s children, thriving freely in the sun
Mankind, joined with nature as one
I will free the Goddess from her sleep
I kill tyrants of the endless deep
If you wake her
The price will be so steep
Can you afford to endanger
Remaining humanity?
I keep her catatonic
For if she wakes she will see
The suffering you’ve created
And kill the world in her grief
Tyrant, fear me, for I will destroy you
Restore balance to the world above
Nüwa’s children, thriving freely in the sun
Mankind, joined with nature as one
I will free the Goddess from her sleep
I kill tyrants of the endless deep
I will free the Goddess from her sleep
I kill tyrants of the endless deep
Fall into the ocean and find the Caretakers
Searching for the Mother Goddess; will they find her?
She was held captive by Gong the Tyrant
In a sacred cage keeping her in eternal slumber
Over eons as he drank her blood
Renewed strength begat his desire to fulfill his conquest
Ancient whispers of the cosmos
Coursing through all living things
The world teems with traces of
Peace, war, gods and mortals
Light, dark, push and pull and
Fire, water all collide as they break down
The people deserve to see tomorrow
(They won’t see tomorrow)
To live in peace beneath the sky
(They suffer beneath the sky)
Released from the yoke of pain and sorrow
(Let waves consume their sorrow)
And sowing forth the seeds of all life
(To rule the world I’ll let them all die)
Go!
Free the Goddess from
From her pelagic iron cage
Free the Goddess from
From the ocean’s eternal rage
I vow, with my sword
To break her shackles and cut her chains
I vow to restore
The balance which sets us free
